Happy Birthday Renton!!!

Today one of my BABIES is turning 9. Wow, were has the time gone. It is strange to think that I am no longer the mother of real little kids anymore. Adam and Renton are both growing up so big and Easton isn't even a toddler anymore. I keep thinking that I should be starting to feel old. But I don't. I still think that I am 22, except now I have a 10, 9 and 3 year old.

We had a party for Renton on Saturday so we could celebrate his birthday together as a family. Jason had to leave Sunday morning to work in Pinedale for 10-12 days. So we decided to do his birthday early. Which was JUST FINE with him.

The picture I really wanted came out all blurry. It is too bad. When he opened the present and saw that it was an ipod Touch, his eyes were as big as saucers and his mouth was wide open. He had NO IDEA that was what he would get. But this picture is pretty cute too, it still shows how excited he was.

All the boys fighting over the ipod. Oooop!!! Looks like Daddy won.

I think he got lucky this year. He got to open his present from Jason and I on Saturday, presents from Adam and Easton today. And then we are going to Northern Utah tomorrow were he will have a "cousins party" and he will get to open presents then also. Talk about dragging his birthday out.

If you know Renton, you know that he LOVES Mountain Dew, even though he hardly ever gets to drink it. Only when he is with Uncle Greggy or occasionally his Dad.

Renton came to me a couple of weeks ago and asked if he could have a "friend birthday party" I was reluctant because we usually just do the family thing and have Uncle Greggy over. But since we no longer live by anyone anymore I told him he could. Then he started crying when he realized that he didn't have any friends to invite. How sad is that. I asked him about the kids in his class at school and he told me that he always tries but none of them will ever play with him when he asks. Unfortunately he got his friend making abilities from me. I never had friends in school. So we decided that we would go to Salt Lake for Spring Break and then he could have a "cousins party". And since Jason will be gone for so long it will work out great.

So here's to Renton and the wonderful young man he is growing into. I can tell I am going to have my hands full with him. He is so much like his Dad. When he does get friends they are ALWAYS girls and at this young I KNOW I am IN FOR IT!!! He is going to be a ladies man.
Happy Birthday Renton, we love you and are so proud of you.

P.S. So, I just came from Renton's school. He invited me and Easton to come and have lunch with him at today. I am (kinda) happy to say that Renton does have friends at school. It just happens that they are ALL GIRLS. While he was at recess he had SEVERAL girls come up and try to get him to go and play with them. Like I said before, "Oh man, are we in for it with him".
